1.  The Faith of the Catholic Church - an introduction to the Catholic Faith written by Fr Guy de Gaynesford.  Useful for instructing those seeking to be received into the Church or to deepen one's understanding of the Faith.  26 sessions covering the Creed, the Sacraments, the Commandments, and Prayer written in Microsoft Word, each session is available to download individually.

2.  The Power and the Mystery of the Word.   A talk on Holy Scripture given to Readers at the Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Dorchester in October 2009, at the invitation of Fr John Rice, Parish Priest.

2.  Miserere Domine - Lord, have mercy.  A retreat given in Bodmin parish during Lent 2009 by Fr Guy de Gaynesford.  Each session begins with the Chaplet prayer followed by a meditation on one of five steps of divine mercy.

3.  St Paul - Popular, pastoral, patient?  A talk given by Robbie Low at the Catholic church of St Mary Immaculate, Falmouth, in June 2009.  Introduction by Fr Jonathan Bielawski.

4.  St Paul and the Cross of Christ.  A talk given by Fr Guy de Gaynesford on the centrality of the Cross in the preaching and teaching of the Apostle given at the Catholic church of St Mary Immaculate, Falmouth in June 2009.

5.  St Paul - Teacher of the World.    8 sessions on the life and teaching of St Paul the Apostle by Fr Guy de Gaynesford and Robbie Low given at the Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Newquay, in September 2008, by kind invitation of the parish priest, Fr Mark O'Keefe.

6. St Peter - Prince of the Apostles.  8 sessions on the life and ministry of St Peter, including a session on the Petrine Office today, by Fr Guy de Gaynesford and Robbie Low given at the Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Newquay, in November 2009, by kind invitation of the parish priest, Fr Mark O'Keefe.

  

Some background on the contributors to our Catholic teaching courses, retreats and talks.

Fr Guy de Gaynesford was educated at Ampleforth and Merton College, Oxford where he studied History.  He trained for the priesthood at St John's Seminary, Wonersh, and was ordained in 1996 for Plymouth diocese.  He was parish priest of St Mary's, Bodmin, until July 2009 and now serves the parishes of Brixham and Dartmouth.

Robbie Low read History at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and  Theology at Westcott House.  Ordained in the Anglican Church in 1979, he served for 25 years in parish ministry.  In 2004, he and his wife, Sara, were received into the Catholic Church.  They run Fowey Retreat in Cornwall as a teaching centre.  Robbie also serves as a parish catechist at St Mary's, Bodmin.
